Compensation Fund invites students to apply for Bursary Programme for 2025 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria: Compensation Fund Bursary Programme for 2025
- Group 1 (Unemployed COID beneficiaries with permanent disability):
- South African citizen
- Unemployed and of working age
- COID beneficiary with a permanent disability due to occupational injuries/diseases
- Accepted to study in specified fields at a recognized institution
- Aiming to improve skills for reintegration into the workforce or self-employment
- Group 2 (Dependants of COID beneficiaries):
- South African citizen, aged 17–35
- Dependant of a COID beneficiary with permanent disablement or a fatally injured employee
- Accepted to study in one of the mentioned fields (or others considered by the fund)
Fields of Study:
The bursary applies to various fields, including but not limited to:
- Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
- Data Science, IT, and Cybersecurity
- Health and Clinical Science
- Actuarial Science, Accounting, and Economics
- Teaching, Agriculture, and more
Bursary Coverage:
- Tuition fees
- Study materials
- Accommodation
- Monthly stipend
- Renewable each year based on academic performance
Required Documents:
- ID document (certified copy)
- COID pension or claim number
- Proof of acceptance from a recognized institution
- Proof of disability (if applicable)
- Academic transcripts
- Proof of residence
