Capitec Bank Agent Insurance Claims

As an Agent: Insurance Claims (Funeral Claims), your primary responsibility will be to administer and handle all aspects of insurance claims, ensuring efficient processing and providing excellent client service. You will work closely with stakeholders to resolve queries and provide accurate information to clients.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Claims Administration: Process all insurance claims, particularly those related to funeral claims, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Client Interaction: Handle all customer queries with the utmost professionalism and care.
  • Liaison: Communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of claims.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Assist with ad-hoc recovery-related queries and provide support to the wider team as needed.

Experience and Skills You’ll Need

Capitec Bank is looking for candidates who have the following experience and skills:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a banking, insurance, or client service environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience dealing specifically with funeral insurance claims.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Understanding of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI), and Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS).
  • A National Certificate (Grade 12) is required, while a National Diploma is preferred.

Skills Needed:

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
