Role Overview: Feeder Driver (x3)
As a Feeder Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless product delivery to customers, adhering to safety and quality standards while representing the excellence that PepsiCo stands for. This position not only requires strong technical skills but also customer-centricity and adherence to high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management:
Load and deliver stock accurately as per the invoice or picking list.
Ensure the correct stock reaches the intended customer.
Handle buybacks and returns as per the claims and documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping via the handheld computer device (HHC).
Vehicle Maintenance and Presentation:
Perform routine maintenance and checks on the delivery vehicle in line with company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both interior and exterior.
Customer Interaction:
Provide clear and professional proof of delivery (PODs) to customers.
Communicate effectively with clients to maintain strong relationships and address inquiries.
Operational Excellence:
Manage and guide the delivery assistant to ensure efficiency.
Adhere to all health, safety, and security regulations, including PPE compliance.
Follow road traffic regulations and pre-planned route schedules.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Licensing:
Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
Valid Code 14 (Code EC) license with Horse & Trailer experience.
Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Technical Proficiency:
Experience using a Handheld Computer Device (HHC).
Experience:
At least 2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role.
Core Competencies:
Results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills, especially with customers.
Flexible and adaptable to workplace changes.
