Graduate Programme Description
Purpose: To create a database that will be used to appoint candidates on student-in-training fixed-term contracts for work-integrated learning, experiential learning or internship in the City of Tshwane in the following areas of study:
Fields of study:
- Finance / Internal audit
- Information Technology
- Communication / Marketing / Heritage / Tourism
- Administration / Public Administration
- Legal
- Aviation
- City Planning and Surveying
- Engineering / Project management
- Water and Water treatment
- Horticulture / Environmental Management
- Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Health
- Language Practice
- Librarians (library and information science)
- Sport and Recreation
- Social work
- Transport Management
The candidates will be contracted for a period of 12 months (university graduate) or 18 months (occupational) through a formal City of Tshwane student-in-training contract to be trained in their relevant field of study under the supervision of a dedicated mentor.
Qualifying Criteria:
- Must have completed a qualification such as N6, Diploma, National Diploma, or Degree in a study field related to the above-mentioned fields
- Must be a resident of Tshwane
- Must require work experience of 12 to 18 months
