Applications are invited for nurse training for the year 2025
Programme Duration: 3 years

Minimum Requirements – Pre-2008
(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)
- Grade 12 (Std 10) – Minimum 25 points
- English: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
- Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Physiology: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
- Mathematics: “E” Higher Grade or “D” Standard Grade
Minimum Requirements – From 2008
(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)
- National Senior Certificate: Diploma Pass and above
- Home Language / First Additional Language: L3
- Minimum: 25 points
- English: L4
- Maths L3 / Maths Literacy: L5
- Life Science / Physical Science: L4
- Life Orientation: L4
- Any other 2 subjects.
NB. Life Orientation (LO) is mandatory at L4 and above but will not be scored
Take note of the following:
- Applicants must come from the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
- Applicants currently registered for studies elsewhere will not be considered for admission.
- Applicants who are currently receiving any other source of funding for study purposes will not be considered.

Documents to be uploaded with your application:
- Copy of Matric certificate
- Copy of Identity document
- Proof of residence or affidavit
- A signed affidavit from the Commissioner of Oath, clearly indicating that you have not previously benefited from the Department of Health bursary system at the KZN College of Nursing
NB. Failure to comply with the above instructions will disqualify applicants.
