Job Opportunity: Home-Based Carer at Anova Health Institute
Anova Health Institute is seeking compassionate and skilled Home-Based Carers to provide essential healthcare services to patients in Kraaifontein, Parow, and Strandfontein.
As a Home-Based Carer, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with specialized care, nutrition planning, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide specialized care, including catheter management and universal blood precautions
– Educate patients and families on nutrition planning and meal preparation
– Identify and refer patients to health facilities and service providers when necessary
– Establish and maintain accurate patient records
– Administer and supervise medication, ensuring timely collection of prescribed medication
– Report patient deterioration, treatment defaults, and medication reactions to supervisors
– Participate in meetings, training courses, and workshops related to the job.
Requirements:
– Grade 10-12 and Home-Based Carer qualification/certificate
– Experience working within communities
– 10-day HIV Counselling Certificate and TB/HIV Adherence Counselling Certificate (advantageous)
– Background knowledge of HAST & NCD
– Ability to work in Kraaifontein, Parow, and Strandfontein
