Internship Description
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) is offering Internship opportunities to suitably qualified and unemployed graduates. The Internships will run for a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.
Interns will be required to sign an internship agreement, in addition to an employment contract, committing themselves to full participation in the educational and workplace assignments in accordance with laid-down policies and procedures.
Stipend: R9 531,54 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
Duration: 18 months contract

Diploma / Degree in: Finance or equivalent
Duties:
- Control and coordinate the implementation of specific procedures systems and controls Asset Management associated with functional areas embodied in the Community Development department.
- Handle all Supply Chain Management processes associated with COJ policies and procedures. Manage and control specific Budgeting, Expenditure, and accounting procedures associated with Financial reporting.
Skills and Competencies:

Internship: Sports and Recreation
Department: Community Development Department
Diploma / Degree in: Relevant tertiary qualification, with a specific focus on Sports and Recreation
Duties: Assist with event planning, setup, and execution, including logistics, marketing, and operations. Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries, and resolving queries. Assist in performing administrative duties such as data entry, filing and mailings. Support the planning, and implementation of Sports and Recreation programmes in the region. Assist with marketing and promotional efforts, including social media, flyers, and other materials. Assist with research and collection to support programme development and evaluation. Assist full-time staff with various tasks, projects, and initiatives

Internship: Revenue Call Centre
Department: Finance Department
Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate. Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
Duties: To apply set standard operational procedures in logging all revenue accounts-related queries related to all services officers by the City of Joburg for further processing by the relevant back-end department while queries relating to first-time resolution are logged and resolved immediately. Perform specific sequences associated with maintaining electronically based information /data/records. To subscribe to the Performance management Policy within the City of Joburg Municipality. To maintain strong customer and working relations with RSSC customers, peers and other internal stakeholders to ensure correct focus and support. To efficiently utilize the operational assets and resources in the area of responsibility cost-effectively in accordance with the legislative framework of the City’s policies and procedures.

Site visits and research Analysis- Assist with verifying reported information by undertaking site visits and /or physical risk assessments of projects. Transporting by hand restricted documents dealing with all types of sensitive and confidential information.
