Job Description:
Fidelity Services Group is seeking experienced Firefighters to join their team in Johannesburg.
The successful candidates will respond to fire incidents, emergency rescue services, render basic medical care, and conduct fire prevention and training activities.
They will also operate and maintain firefighting equipment and apparatus to protect lives and property.
Key Responsibilities:
– Respond to fires, rescues, and emergency incidents
– Operate firefighting equipment to control and extinguish fires
– Undertake fire protection duties to prevent threats to lives or property
– Participate in training drills and physical fitness training
– Advise on preventative and corrective actions
– Implement security procedures to protect data, people, institutions, and property
– Perform basic maintenance on equipment
– Complete occurrence logs and pro forma documentation
– Participate in Departmental Health and Safety Committee meetings
– Drive and operate heavy and extra heavy specialized vehicles/appliances
– Assist with Fire and Safety training, fire safety inspections, and life safety education
Requirements:
– Mid-Senior level experience
– Valid driver’s license
– Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
– Knowledge of fire safety regulations and procedures
