Requirements :
Grade 12. Secretarial studies or equivalent qualification. good typing skills a necessity. Must be computer literate (Ms Word. Outlook, PowerPoint etc.). Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, planning, problem solving and time management skills. Be presentable, self-driven with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Must be able to handle a variety of tasks and meet deadlines. Good telephone etiquette and customer orientation. Must be proficient in English (read, write and speak). Be prepared to go an extra mile. Knowledge and application of Batho Pele principles and public service code of conduct.
Duties :
Provide Secretarial support and general administration support to the department. Type/write routine notes, memos, letters and reports. Take minutes during meetings. Maintain an effective filling and document tracking system (electronic and physical).
Good general administrative duties including photocopying, scanning and faxing, typing; and performing any other duties delegated by the supervisor. comply with the Performance Management and Development system (contracting, quarterly reviews and final assessment).
