Knysna Municipality is inviting students and learners to apply for Bursaries for the 2024 academic year.

ELIGIBILITY
Only South African citizens who are resident in the Knysna Municipal District are eligible.
APPLICATIONS
In view of large numbers of applications, only successful candidates will be notified.
AWARDS
- Awards are made by a Selection Committee and are based on merit and financial need. Where funds are limited priority is
given to students who are financially needy and who are from historically advantaged communities. - Awards are variable and cover a percentage of the cost of tuition and books.
- Bursary funds are paid directly to tertiary institutions.
- All Bursaries that are awarded and not collected within a month will be revoked and reallocated.
- Only completed applications with all requested documentation will be processed.
- Only applicants who are awarded bursaries will be notified
IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO INCLUDE WITH YOUR APPLICATION
- Identity Document (ID)
- Final School Certificate
- Latest results from College, University, tertiary institutions
- Documentary evidence from all income earners in your home (see Section B)
- Proof of acceptance at institution for the academic year
- Banking details of institution on their bank letterhead

Submit clear copies of essential supporting documents along with the application form. Documents include ID, CV, Matric certificate/results, tertiary institution acceptance proof for 2024, proof of household income, proof of residence, and institution banking details.
Submit applications via post to P.O. Box 21, Knysna, 6570, or hand delivery to the Mayor’s Office, Clyde Street, Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa, 6570. Applications via email or fax will not be accepted.
