 The Alfred Nzo District Municipality invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for X16 General Assistant Vacancies at the Municipality.

X16 General Assistant Vacancies at Alfred Nzo District Municipality

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Excavating and backfilling trenches to defined levels using hand held tools
• Laying pipes and laying & coating cement mixes and soil to reinforce structure using hand held tools
• Cleaning & removing blockages, debris and alien vegetation from drainage system and manholes using hand held tools
• Providing support to the artisan plumber during the marking of work area/site holding measuring tapes and inserting level indicators
• Receiving instructions from/guidance from the artisan plumber and attends to the preparation of work site
• Undertake any other task that may be assigned by the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 8 Or ABET Level 03/Higher or relevant qualification
• 06 months related experience in water and sewer reticulation/plumbing.
• Physically able to perform manual labour by hand
• Language proficiency in at least 1 of the four languages of Alfred Nzo District (English, Xhosa, Sesotho & Afrikaans).
