About the Position

SARS is looking for dynamic, energetic results oriented, self-directed person, to join the Assessment Maintenance Team within Taxpayer Compliance unit. The candidates must have knowledge of the SARS systems, good communication skills, both verbal and written, goal and target driven.  Integrity is key to the organisation. The successful candidates will ensure correctness of taxpayer assessments by resolving potential errors on tax returns.

Job Purpose

To ensure correctness of taxpayer assessment by resolving potential errors on tax returns identified by SARS systems or where further intervention is required to finalise queries in order to make decisions and conclude assessments.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

Higher Certificate (NQF 5) with Tax or Accounting AND 3 years’ experience in a Taxpayer Compliance environment.

Alternative:

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 4 years’ experience in a Taxpayer Compliance environment.

  • Resolve, explain, interpret and analyse correctness and make decisions to allow, disallow or partially allow assessments or disputes.
